CEO of Generation Capital. Previously, he was a Partner at the Toronto law firm Torys LLP from 1984 to 1997, and President of the Woodbridge Company, the majority shareholder of Thomson Reuters, from 1998 to 2012. Mr. Beattie has also held roles at Thomson Reuters as Deputy Chairman and as a Director. Mr. Beattie holds a JD from the University of Western Ontario. He serves on the board of Maple Leaf Foods and is a trustee of the University Health Network in Toronto.
